Conductive Education Bristol began initially as a 6 month pilot project in conjunction between Natalie Walker and Megan Baker House in January 2014. During this time Hannah Hughes [a newly qualified Conductive Education practitioner] began volunteering with Natalie. At the end of the 6 month period Natalie and Hannah decided that due to the need for the service they would start up Conductive Education Bristol together. And so in August 2014 Conductive Education Bristol Community Interest Company was born! Initially running 2 sessions a week; catering for 5 families in the Bristol and Somerset areas the service soon had to grow as interest grew. In November 2015 Trevor Akery joined Natalie and Hannah on the Board of Directors. Having run his own business for 9 years and having supported Conductive Education Bristol since its beginnings Trevor was the ideal candidate to take a more active advisory role on the business side as well as for his continued fundraising support. All of our Directors are voluntary.
